On Monday 29 January, we were extremely pleased to welcome BBC reporter, Tom Edwards, back to TDMS to interview some of our Ukrainian students. BBC Hereford and Worcester contacted the school asking to come and speak to some our Ukrainian students who had joined us since the start of the conflict in their country.
The BBC created a radio news article about the lives of young Ukrainian people who have moved to the UK which was broadcast on 20 February to mark the 2nd anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Mr Edwards spoke to 6 students who spoke about their memories of the start of the war and fleeing their homes and their journeys to the UK. The students spoke of the differences between Ukrainian life and their new lives in Evesham and they also spoke of their dreams for the future. All 6 students spoke excellently and were a real credit to themselves, their families and the school.
